The Revs are currently chest-deep in their preseason preparations, and Heaps and his staff are hard at work trying to blend new faces into an existing core of players. They look to form a cohesive unit in time for the 2012 season opener on March 10.

Part of the reason Heaps was hired (on Nov. 14) was because he has a clear idea of why the team was struggling, and an even clearer vision of how to correct it. He's spent the last 100-plus days trying to turn that vision into reality.
