Since his first in-studio appearance back in 2003, Seattle songwriter Damien Jurado has been a frequent guest on the Morning Show and even wrote the “John in the Morning” theme, which you’ll hear promptly at 6AM every weekday. Each of his new albums warrants tons of airplay and finds him back in-studio in a variety of configurations: solo or with a band, acoustic or plugged in. Following up his expansive new album — the excellent Secretly Canadian released Maraqopa — Jurado brought his biggest backing group yet, featuring musicians from a few other local bands like The Shins, The Head & the Heart and Campfire OK (yes, that’s Josiah, Jonathan, Jessica Dobson in the back corner!).
